Founded on a love for building and built by strict attention to detail, Home Innovations is the culmination of a lifetime of dedication to design by owner/builder Rickey Matthews.

Rickey Matthews is a Georgia native, and he along with his wife and two children call Coweta County home. Even at a young age, Rickey was interested in building and designing. He carried that interest through the years, obtaining a degree at Georgia Tech studying architecture, design, building construction and management. Early in his career, Rickey worked at notable building giants John Wieland Homes and Centex Homes.

In 1999, Rickey decided to start his own building company and launched Home Innovations. Rickey’s main focus is constructing high-end custom homes but remodeling projects are also a large part of the company’s day to day activities.

“Because I have a natural love of building, have been trained in design principles, worked with small, medium and large homebuilders across several departments and, now have over 10 years experience with my own company, I offer something unique to the homebuyer.”

Today, Rickey builds between six to twelve homes a year. He is involved in all phases of the construction from site selection, property layout, plan selection and modifications. Rickey can also completely design a home from the beginning, an ability that also helps with large remodeling projects that require turning blank spaces in existing houses into warm and inviting places in the home. With every project, Rickey enjoys putting his own special details and adding a special touch. He maintains a hands-on approach with his clients, personally conducting walk-throughs at all phases of construction.
